Students

Pathways College Preparatory School sets high expectations and standards for each member of the community. Each person (students, teachers, parents and school leaders) must take responsibility for their own learning and the learning of their peers. Expectations are set for academic achievement as well as for social / emotional development. Students know what is expected of them both inside and outside of the classroom. Students will receive regular feedback describing how well they are meeting these expectations.

Goal: Community members will demonstrate understanding of the concept of respect and its importance in a community.

Respect for yourself

• All members of the community will demonstrate respect for themselves by coming to school regularly and on time; prepared for class and ready to learn. All members of the community will communicate their ideas, beliefs and feelings in a way that respects the listener(s) and work to resolve conflicts non-violently.

Respect for all members of the community

• All members of the community will demonstrate respect in their interactions with other members of the community. This respect extends to but is not limited to the ideas, beliefs, feelings, personal space and property of community members.

Respect for the school community

• All members of the community will demonstrate respect for the school community by following the rules and routines of the school including every classroom, hallways and other spaces in and outside of the building.
• In order to maintain a clean and safe learning environment all food and beverages (except water) will be restricted to the cafeteria.
